It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jake Mitchell Lunn, age 34, who passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2025, in Richland Center, Wisconsin.
Born on November 11, 1990, in Rockford, Illinois, Jake was the son of Dana M. Barker and Douglas K. Lunn. Though Jake's life was cut short, he leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments that will continue to bring joy to his family and friends.
Jake's family was everything to him. He had an especially close bond with his brother, Chad Lunn, and shared countless memories growing up together. Later in life, his family expanded to include his stepfather Scott Barker, stepbrother Logan Barker, stepsisters Chelsea Barker and Mallory Englehart, and brother-in-law Nick Englehart, whom he loved dearly. Jake also had a special place in his heart for his grandmothers, Linda Matteoni and Patricia Bonavia, and he deeply cherished the love and support of his aunts, uncles, and cousins. His family meant the world to him, and he valued the relationships he built with each of them.
Jake's greatest joy in life was being a father to his daughter, Alainah May Lunn (Bradley). He cherished every moment spent with her. Alainah was the light of his life, and his love for her will always be remembered.
Jake is survived by: daughter: Alainah May Lunn (Bradley);
mother: Dana M. (Scott) Barker;
father: Douglas K. Lunn;
brother: Chad Lunn;
stepbrother: Logan Barker;
stepsisters: Chelsea Barker and Mallory Englehart;
grandmothers: Linda Matteoni and Patricia Bonavia;
many cousins, aunts, and uncles, and countless friends who will miss him deeply.
Jake was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Bonavia, Pete Matteoni, and Ervin Sheets, as well as his grandmother Arlene Barker. Their love and guidance shaped him, and their memories will live on in our hearts.
Jake enjoyed spending his free time doing the things he loved-whether it was fishing, playing cornhole, frisbee golf, or golf. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and never missed a game, often watching with family and friends. He also enjoyed pool, darts, and the occasional game of chance. Known for his sharp wit, sarcasm, and competitive spirit, Jake was always ready to challenge someone to a game, crack a joke, or make others laugh.
Jake's passing has left a void in the hearts of those who loved him. Though he was taken from us way too early, we will always remember the laughter, joy, and love he brought into our lives.
Jake's family has decided to honor his life with a celebration of life, which will take place at a later date. Details for the celebration will be shared on social media, and his loved ones are encouraged to reach out to Dana Barker for information. For those who would like to contribute to the celebration of Jake's life, donations are welcome to help cover event expenses. Details on how to contribute will be shared by the family.
Jake will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, his love for his family, and his ability to make every moment count. He was taken too soon, but his memory will remain with us always.

Met Jake in the late 90's after he moved up with his mother Dana to Packwaukee, Wisconsin. There we had fun, driving the cops nuts. Lol! Jake loved everyone. He was a good kid. Loved watching him real in the bass of the bridge. Fly high with the angels buddy. Love ya kid!
