James attended Real Life Church in Bedford. He graduated from Bedford High School in 1961, and worked for Kennametal for approximately 10 years before getting into the residential construction business. After building several homes in the area he moved to Naples, Fl, where he continued in the home construction until his health failed him. After 10 years of success and over 200 homes built in the Naples area he returned with his wife to their roots in Bedford. He enjoyed taking hunting trips out west and in Alaska.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., at the Real Life Church, in Bedford, with Pastor Brian Swain officiating. Burial at Fishertown Cemetery. Arrangements by Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.

Pap was so very caring and loving to me. I will miss laughing with him and I will miss his stories he shared with me.

I met Jim while he was in Naples. We always got along famously. He will be missed greatly.
