James Burbage Obituary

James Talmadge Burbage Jr., affectionately known as Jim, passed away after an extended stay at ECU Medical Center. Born on July 21, 1959, Jim lived a fulfilling life surrounded by his loved ones and pursuing his passions.
Jim dedicated many years of his career as a sales consultant at Buckman's Auto Supply, where he shared his expertise and built lasting relationships with customers. Outside of work, Jim found immense joy in the world of race car driving. He spent countless hours on the race track, showcasing his skills and earning numerous titles at East Carolina Motor Speedway. His talent and determination were truly remarkable.
Music was another passion that brought Jim immense happiness. He was a member of the Cattle Axe Band, where he showcased his talents as a bass guitarist and lead singer. Jim's love for music was evident in every note he played and every lyric he sang.
Jim is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Burbage, his father, James T. Burbage Sr., and his sister, Barbara Burbage Paul. He leaves behind a loving family and friends, including his mother, Mary Frances "Fran" Norman Burbage, and his brothers, Donald and Tom Burbage.
