James Vincent Dragotta, 96, formerly of Bethlehem, died February 28, 2022, in Moravian Hall Square. He was the husband of Renee (Johnson) Dragotta for 64 years.
Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Vincent and Carmella (Testa) Dragotta.
He graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1943, then received both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Syracuse University. He played football at PHS and Syracuse.
He taught and coached at PHS for 27 years before retiring in 1982. After retiring he taught in the Northampton School District.
Vince was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem.
He proudly served his country in the Navy and Air Force. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Silver Creek Country Club.
Surviving with his wife Renee, are a daughter Kris Yerry, and her husband Gordon of Bethlehem.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA, followed by burial in Slatington Union Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to call Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
