James Edward Ellis, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on April 3, 1962, in Evansville, Indiana, James's life was a testament to the love and joy he brought to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and passion that will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
James's journey through life was shared with his loving wife of 35 years, Jessica, who stood by his side as a beacon of support and love. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Blayne, Blair, and Brandon, who were the center of James's world. His ten adored grandchildren, Adalyn, Radley, Dallis, Isabella, Emersyn, Lakyn, Brayliegh, Memphis, Kolsin, and Koda, brought him immeasurable happiness and pride. James was a devoted brother to Butch Ellis and Pamela Brewer, and although he was preceded in death by his loving parents, Alfred and Stella Ellis, the values they instilled in him lived on through his actions and the family he nurtured.
James's passion for life was evident in his many interests. He had a special talent for tinkering with cars, a hobby he often shared with his children in the garage, passing down his knowledge and creating lasting memories. A dedicated fan of Dale Earnhardt, James's enthusiasm for NASCAR was contagious, and he cherished the moments spent watching races, cheering on his favorite drivers with family and friends.
Beyond his love for cars and racing, James found joy in the simple pleasure of bike riding with his family. These outings were more than just exercise; they were opportunities for laughter, conversation, and bonding. James's commitment to his family was unwavering, and he often said that above all, he loved his family deeply and unconditionally.
James's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of love, kindness, and generosity. He will be profoundly missed by those who knew him, yet his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. As we say goodbye to James Edward Ellis, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will be cherished forever in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy of love and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life will continue to shine brightly as a guiding light for all who were blessed to know him.

I´m sorry to hear of Jamie`s passing. I knew Jamie from Caze grade school. He was two years ahead of me. I can still hear his raspy voice and laugh. He was a good guy. Last saw him about eight years ago on old 41 at a car lot. I heard his voice and instantly knew it was him. Glad I got to see him. RIP Jamie.
