James Farrell

James Henry Farrell III, 79, of Pensacola Florida, passed suddenly on June 24th, 2024 at West Florida Hospital with his wife by his side.
James was born on August 11th, 1944 to parents James and Betty Farrell in Huntington, West Virginia. After James graduated from Barboursville High School in 1962, He went on to study Business Administration to get his Bachelor's Degree at Marshall University in 1967. While serving in the United States Coast Guard he obtained his Master's Degree at The University of Southern California. Jim went on to serve his country for more than 33 years via the Coast Guard, Coast Guard Reserves, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Jim loved to volunteer his time to the community. You would often find him helping people with their taxes at AARP, cooking food for the homeless, serving on the board as treasurer of his homeowner's association and so much more. As Oscar Wilde said "that even the smallest act of kindness shown to someone is much greater than the grandest intention one holds in his heart". When Jim wasn't volunteering he enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on his Dodge Cummins diesel truck.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Leann (Boring) Farrell of Pensacola and his children James H. Farrell IV and wife Jenci, Sean A. Farrell, Tina L. Mauck, Scott R. Loughner Jr. and wife Kimberly; sister Nancy L. Gill and husband Thomas; Grandchildren Joseph W. Mauck, Skyler O. Farrell, Summer L. Loughner, Kevin J. Farrell, Sloan M. Farrell-Sermeño, Dorothy I. Farrell- Sermeño; cousin William Selvey and wife Sandra.
