James Fowler Obituary

The beloved husband of Juanita Fowler (nee Osborn) for 71 years; treasured father of Debbie (Butch) Bayless; cherished Gramps of Denita Kay Ferrell (Josh Wiechens) and grandpa of Kurt (Leslie) Bayless, Kevin (Monica) Bayless; special PaPa of Jace Ulicne, Zander Hennen, Victoria (Adam) Mitchell, Chelsea (Stephen) Hill, Tyler Hoff, Taylor Bayless, Josh (Sarah) Hoff; great-great PaPa of four; dear brother of Carolyn (the late Clarence) Staudte and preceded by Edward Fowler and Bob Fowler; he was also preceded by his parents, Charles Berton and Lucille Marie Fowler (nee McClain). Jim was a loving cousin, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.
Jim got the most satisfaction from his days when he was working, whether he was farming, picking cotton, working his realtor business or working for 30 years at GM as an engineer. He was a true handyman, owning several rental properties that he kept up. Jim was a faithful member of Fairmount General Baptist Church. He loved everyone and everyone loved him, remembering his bright and welcoming smile. Most of all he was a devoted husband and father, providing for his family's needs.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles, MO 63304. Funeral services will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 30, with Pastor Lynn Davenport officiating from Fairmount General Baptist Church.
Interment will be private at Warrenton City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the American Heart Association
