We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of James (Tinky) H. Haines, on May 17 after suffering a heart attack.
Tinky was born August 18, 1954 in Quantico, Virginia to Howard and Nancy (Barrette) Haines. His family returned to Marinette, WI, where Tinky would live out the rest of his life.
Tinky graduated from Marinette Catholic Central in 1974 and soon after married the love of his life, Laura (Linczeski) on August 2, 1975. They were blessed to welcome their son, James, in 1982. He spent most of his career at Scott Paper and retired as a millwright from Kimberly Clark in 2017.
Tinky loved spending time at his camp with his beloved friend Johnny; hunting and tending to his garden. He cherished his visits with his grandchildren and went along with whatever Laura had managed to talk him into. If you were a friend of Tinky's, you were a friend for life. His smile and hugs will be remembered long after he's gone.
In addition to his wife, Laura, Tinky is survived by his son James (Lori); grandchildren Nolan, Evelyn, and Benjamin; sister Teresa; brother John (Julie); nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and father- and mother-in-law.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Taylor Street on Saturday, May 21st from 9:00 until 11:30 a.m. with mass to follow.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Marinette Emergency Rescue Squad, Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay, especially Sara; and the Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home for assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Marinette Emergency Rescue Squad.
