James (Jim) A. Haskins, 84, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Jim was born January 25, 1941 in Plainfield, WI to Frederick Jr. and Martha B. (Szulczewski) Haskins.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Deacon Jerry Ruesch will officiate the service. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 11:00 am, the time of service. Military honors will be performed at the conclusion of the service by VFW Post #2534 of Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Plainfield, WI at a later date for immediate family.

Jim graduated from Assumption High School in 1960. He joined the Army in February 1963 and served through 1966. Jim was stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Baumholder, Germany. He worked at Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Company (NEPCO) from 1967 to 1994 at Port Edwards, WI.

Jim enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing in his younger years. He liked watching college basketball, NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers, Fox News and taking various road trips with friends. He enjoyed taking walks, sitting outdoors to enjoy the sunshine and shoveling the snow in the winter. He was a very generous and kind man, wanting to provide for family and friends throughout his life.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Rowe, of Wisconsin Rapids, and five nieces; Debra Nelson (Russell) of Rudolph; Pamela Kaminski (Thomas) of Wisconsin Rapids; Jana Schmitt (Scott) of Marshfield; Lisa Rowe-Peplinski (Christopher) of Wisconsin Rapids; Cara Lee (Jonathon) of Wisconsin Rapids. And five great nephews and six great nieces, one great-great niece and one great-great nephew. Friends Marilyn Boone and Leonard Braford.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Haskins and Martha Ghiloni; step-father Alfred (Jack) Ghiloni, brother Gerald Haskins, brother-in-law David Rowe, twin sister Janet Haskins; and his dog Phats.

Jim's family would like to thank Renaissance of Wisconsin Rapids for providing Jim with excellent care for the past two years.
