James Hembree Obituary

Mr. Hembree was born in Winston,Georgia on November 12, 1942, the son of the late James Garfield Hembree and Eva Nell Gardner Hembree. He graduated from Villa Rica High School and he was in the army reserves for 2 years at Fort McClellan. He worked at Lockheed-Martin for several years in Marietta, GA. He was a city letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Villa Rica, GA for 32 years where he retired from.
He & his family moved to Clay County, Alabama in 2002. He enjoyed wood-working, riding his 4-wheeler checking cows, and building mineral houses for the farm.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his three siblings; Doug Hembree, Katherine Hembree and Shirley Hembree Garner.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Bernice Boatright-Hembree; three sons; Steven Glynn Hembree, Bryan Earl Hembree and Bruce Quinton Hembree (Janet). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Madison Hembree-East (Mitchell) & Jared Quinton Hembree. And one great-grandson, Maverick James East.
A private family graveside service is planned for a later date.
