James C. Hollingshead, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2025, at Midland Hospice in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on July 25, 1951, to his parents Edward J. and Ruth (Hicks) Hollingshead in Lepanto, Arkansas.

James was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Over the years of his life, he worked as a Master HVAC Technician and also worked as an E.M.T. James was a jack of all trades and a quick learner. Always learning how to do things himself and not relying on others to do things for him.

He married Diana (Hartwick) on October 26, 2004, in Clay Center, Kansas.

James is survived by his wife, Diana, of Manhattan; a sister, Helen (Thomas) Belue, Phillipsburg, KS; and two nieces, Shannon and Robyn. He is also survived by Diana's brother Ricky (Wendy) Hartwick; niece Darcie Hartwick and her child Alayna; A nephew Christopher (Lacy) Hartwick and their children: Cammi, Adeline, and Gideon; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents; a brother, Billie, sisters, Rhonda Hollingshead and Rene (Joe) Urbano; and Diana's brother, Steven Hartwick.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 25, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Marlatt Ave, Manhattan, Kansas.

The committal service will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Manhattan, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, Kansas 66502 to help with expenses.
