PRAIRIE DU CHIEN – James J. “Jim” Hromadka, age 48 of Prairie Du Chien, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024, at his residence. He was born September 6, 1975, the son of Clarence and Phyllis (Pitz) Hromadka. Jim graduated from Bloomington High School and furthered his education at Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, with a degree in Automotive Technology. He was employed with MPC in Prairie Du Chien. Jim was fond of social media, being on the computer, and had many connections and friends on Facebook. He liked to joke around with people to make them laugh or feel uncomfortable. Jim enjoyed relaxing around a bonfire.
Surviving is his mother: Phyllis; his siblings: Joanne Hromadka, Debra (Joe) Kohn, Diane (Chris) Dolan, Cindy (Joe Hatfield) Hromadka, and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his father: Clarence, and a sister: Julie.
Per Jim’s request, there will be no funeral services. Private family burial will be at a later date. Family and friends may call on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 9:00a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Bloomington. A Celebration of Jim’s life will continue at City Sounds Dance Club, 213 West Blackhawk Avenue, Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 3:00 p.m. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Bloomington is assisting the family.
