James "Jim" Dale McBride, 85, of Alliance passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. He was born on January 1, 1940 to the late Lewis and Lillie (Reed) McBride. Jim served his country in the United States Army while stationed in Korea during the Vietnam war. He was a proud member of the North Georgetown American Legion Post 574. He liked going to McDonald's and Burger King to play cards, was an avid Browns, Indians, Mount Union and West Branch Sports fan. He never met a stranger and loved bragging about his son and spending time with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his son Thomas (Angela) McBride, siblings Martha (Joe)Brodzinski, Shirley Summers, Frank (Helen) McBride, Betty (Marion) Kitzmiller, Bill (Joan) McBride, Grandchildren Brook Buehner, Samantha Jaggers, James Christopher Duncanson and Great-Grandchildren Destiny, Trey, Hudson and Emrick.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife Yon Soon "Peggy", whom he married August 20,1965 and siblings Dorothy Brown, Marylu Barnes, Robert McBride, Ruth Ann Oberlin, Roy McBride, Ada Delong, Ida Sanor, Richard McBride and Great Grandson Landon.
A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 9AM to 11AM at Brown Funeral Home-Sebring Chapel with funeral services to follow at 11AM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends and family may watch the live stream of his service, send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home, Sebring, Ohio (330) 938-2526.
