James "Jim" Kidder, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and faithful servant of Christ, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a man whose life reflected deep faith, steady service, and unwavering love for those around him.
Born in the state of Oregon in 1944, Jim later made his home in Ft. Myers, Florida, where he spent the majority of his life. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Jim served his country honorably in the Vietnam War, carrying with him a sense of duty and honor that would shape the rest of his life.
Jim's greatest devotion was to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout his life, he faithfully led others to Christ through his words, actions, and the quiet strength of his example. For many years, he served as a deacon at Gulf Coast Church of Christ in Ft. Myers, where he poured his heart into helping to maintain the church's facilities, and leading Bible studies and small groups. His service was never for recognition, but always out of love; for his church, for his faith, and for his community.
In his later years, Jim moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, with his beloved wife Carol to be closer to their daughter Gina. Even in his final chapter, his life remained rich in love, laughter, and purpose.
Jim is survived by his wife Carol Kidder; his children Gina (Vic) Baca and Matt (Shannon) Kidder; his grandchildren Katherine Baca, Davis Kidder, Annabelle Kidder, Gavin Kidder, and Ty Kidder; and his siblings Rob (Jeannette) Kidder, John (Bernadette) Kidder, Stephen (Renelda) Kidder, Bruce (Brigitte) Kidder, and Anne (Barry) Totten.
Those who knew Jim will remember his warm smile, his tireless work ethic, and his deep love for both his family and his faith. He will be deeply missed, but his example will continue to inspire all who had the blessing of knowing him.
Jim will be laid to rest in the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Arkansas.

Jim: in the short time I have known you here at Meadows you have become a dear friend. We were the only Vietnam Veterans here which brought us close. You and I considered ourselves as brothers. I sincerely thank you for your service and truly say to you "Welcome home Brother". I know you are now resting in Heaven with our Lord and Saviour.

Rest in peace my Friend.
