James Kendall Rogers

James Kendall Rogers, 34, of Swanton, died on March 3rd at his residence while working on his beloved MR2.
James was born in Burlington, Vermont on January 17, 1990 to Nanette and Kendall Rogers. James has two siblings- Kate and Nick, both of whom he got in his fair share of trouble with. He attended Westford Elementary and then BFA Fairfax. He worked at Key Collison in South Burlington. James was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed tinkering in his garage on his life long car projects. He was very proud of his MR2s and loved being a member of the car community locally and cross country. James traveled for car meets and to explore potential new places to call home. Over the past few years, James traveled to several places in the United States - California, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, and enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. He thoroughly enjoyed these trips and stopped to visit friends along the way. At the time of his death, he was planning a trip to Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore and Denver, CO to visit a friend in May of this year.
James also enjoyed target practice and had recently joined the Underhill Rod and Gun Club with his childhood friend, Dan Orisko. James and Dan were very close friends and spent a lot of time together working on and talking about cars, sugaring, riding four wheelers or motor bikes, and just plain hanging out. Dan and his family will always cherish the time they spent with James.
James was a loyal friend, loved son, cherished brother, fun uncle, and a wonderful coworker. Everyone who crossed paths with James enjoyed his infectious laugh, friendliness, and kind easy going nature. James will be forever missed and loved by all who were lucky enough to know him.
James is survived by his parents- Nanette Rogers and her partner Bob, Kendall Rogers and his partner Jenna, sister Kate Rea and her husband Andrew, his brother Nick Rogers, his nephews Mason, Owen, Maverick, his niece Kathleen, his aunts and maternal grandparents. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, his uncle, and maternal grandmother.

His family asks that you remember his sense of humor during this time and smile when you think of him. James will forever be in the hearts and thoughts of his friends and family.
