James Charles Speshock passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the age of 85.
Jim was born on October 12, 1938 in Adah, Pennsylvania. After high school, Jim proudly served in the United States Navy. On October 21, 1961, he married Loretta Black in Detroit, Michigan. They shared 62 wonderful years together, raising their boys and making memories. Jim worked for Ford Motor Company and retired in June of 2000. He spent hours on his computer, keeping up on current events and managing his finances. Jim also enjoyed reading and traveling with Loretta. They were able to visit a large amount of the United States and would follow their grandchildren where ever they lived and spent a few weeks visiting and watching them grow up. Jim will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife, Loretta; sons, James C. Speshock, Jr. and Dean (Carrie) Speshock; grandchildren, Derrick, Morgan, Autumn and Kane; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his mother, Rose and four siblings.
A visitation for Jim will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with 10:00 a.m. instate time at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home. A Private Burial will be at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills.
