James Ronald Stanly, Jr. beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend departed this life on September 19, 2024, at the age of 53. Services to honor his life will be held at 10 am on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 4pm until 7pm on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Higgins.
Ron was born February 11, 1971, in Huntsville, AL to the late James Ronald Stanly, Sr. and Mary Ann Keel Stanly who survives. He owned and operated Stanly Construction and specialized in working with heavy equipment. Ron enjoyed the outdoors and spending time hunting and fishing. He was a man with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Ron loved his friends, his dog Joe, and his family, especially his grandchildren, were his biggest joy. His life and love will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors also include his wife of almost 34 years, Jennifer Strope Stanly; son, Luke Stanly and wife Sara; daughter, Sarah Barton and husband Andrew; grandchildren, Oliver and Eleanor Stanly, and Banks Barton; sisters, Tracy (Andy) Davis, and Rhonda Roberts.
Memorial donations may be made to Hayden's Hope, 21 Kidd Road, Fayetteville, TN, or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
