James Andrew Zimmerman

James Andrew Zimmerman, a beloved father, grandfather, and retired educator, passed away on July 21st 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Andy Zimmerman was Born in January 1966, in Springfield Ohio, to his beloved parents, Jim and Nancy. Andy was a loving father to his son, Tyler and daughter, Grace, and a proud grandfather to his two grandchildren, Lily and Lincoln. He is survived by his parents, children, and grandchildren. Andy is also survived by daughter in law, Sydney, and step children Jennica and PJ, who he loved as his own. Andy was preceded in death by his wife Teri Zimmerman (Davies).
He spent 30 years as a history teacher and coach of various sports at Franklin Monroe High School before retiring in 2023. Outside of teaching, Andy enjoyed spending time pursuing his hobbies. He was an avid trivia enthusiast, always eager to learn and share knowledge. His love for sports, especially his unwavering support for the Chicago Cubs, was a source of joy and excitement throughout his life.
Andy will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, former students, and colleagues for his kindness, dedication, and sense of humor. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
