Our beloved mother, Jane Skeehan Matyniak, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024 in Roswell, Georgia.
Jane was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 23, 1944 to Thomas Francis Skeehan and Mary (Costello) Skeehan. She is a 1962 graduate of St. Anselm High School in Swissvale, Pennsylvania. Jane continued her education at Carnegie Tech and graduated in 1966.
Jane and her husband, Michael, lived a vibrant and adventurous life. She loved to travel and shared many wonderful times with friends and family. She had the gift of making many friends wherever they lived. She enjoyed playing golf, making jewelry, playing bridge, reading, singing, playing piano, and participating in AAUW. She was successful in her sales career for Norrell, Mary Kay and Young Living. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Michael Matyniak; daughter, Gretchen McVay Boone (Allen) of Alpharetta, Georgia; Sean McVay of Louisville, Colorado; Kearsten Manoulian of Oxford, Michigan; Brian Matyniak of Commerce, Michigan; and her grandchildren, Griffin Boone (Jadrienne), Annabelle Boone, Oliver McVay, Emma Matyniak, Kathryn Manoulian, Jackson Manoulian, Payten Emerick and Stella Emerick. She is also survived by her sisters, Sally Dunn (James) and Dana Donahoe (James); and nieces, nephews, their spouses and children, whom she loved dearly.
At this time, no memorial service is planned.
