Janet Lynn Allen, of Madera, passed away on February 4th, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimers. On September 18th, 1943 Janet Lynn Allen was born to Eunice and Robert Ritchie in Kansas City, Missouri. Janet moved to Madera in 1953 along with her sister, Patricia, and her mother. Janet attended Madera High School.
She met the love of her life Richard Allen and they were married in 1967. Together they built a beautiful and loving relationship until Richard passed in 2020. Janet spent most of her career doing the bookkeeping for the very successful Allen Bee Company. She and Richard were avid Raider fans and attended many games. Janet loved to entertain whether at home, at her cabin in the mountains, or on a cruise ship with friends. She was always the spark that kept the flame going.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, sister (Patricia), and her husband Richard. She is survived by her daughter Lori Ritter and husband Tom, son Rich and wife Lauri, grandchildren Brian Ritter and wife Brittany, Colin Ritter, Annie Allen, Sophie Allen and
great-grandson Bjorn Ritter.
A Memorial Service will be held at Jay Chapel on Monday, March 3rd at 11:00 in Madera, California.
Remembrances can be made in her memory to Valley Children's Hospital
