WAPPINGERS FALLS – Janet M. Dell'Olio, 76, an area resident since 2017, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Lutheran Care Center after a sudden battle with illness.
Born in the Bronx on January 10, 1947, Janet was the daughter of the late Seymour Goldstein and Antoinette (DeRenzo) Goldstein. Janet was a graduate of Evander Childs High School. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years and later worked at Victor Pharmacy on Morris Park Avenue. In 2013, Janet retired from Calvary Hospital in the Bronx where she worked as a Pharmacy Technician. Janet never knew a stranger and was known for her trademark smile and her kind and affable nature. Janet was an avid member of the Town of Wappinger Senior Citizen Center and loved to play Bingo. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Janet is survived by her son, Benedetto Dell'Olio; her daughter Gianna Dell'Olio and son-in-law Raymond; her husband John Badagliacca; her stepdaughter, Jennifer Greiss and stepson-in-law Robert; her grandchildren, Josephine Dell'Olio and Anthony Dell'Olio; her step-grandchildren, Julia Greiss and Miles Greiss; her mother, Antoinette Goldstein; her sister, Rita DelValle and brother-in-law Joseph; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family members.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:30 am.
