Janet F. Bonser-Niceforo, 87, of Bushkill, formerly from Bangor, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital- Anderson Campus. She was the loving wife of the late Philip P. Niceforo with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.
Born in Brodheadsville, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell F. Bonser and the late Jennie M. (Bond) Bonser.
Janet was very creative and enjoyed crocheting blankets for those around her. She adored her Boston Terrier dogs and cats, and is survived by her cat, Nugget. Janet was very interested in genealogy and was very avid in tracing the Bond and Bonser family roots. She also enjoyed taking trips to Florida. Most of all, she was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her loving family and friends.
Janet is survived by two sons: Philip N. Niceforo and his wife, Helen of Nazareth; Barry Bonser and his wife, Cathy, of Brodheadsville; a daughter: Roxanne Riotto of Bangor; a brother, Richard H. Bonser of Illinois; four grandchildren: Nicole Hausman and her husband Brad of Slatington; Tabetha Niceforo of Bangor; Philip N. Niceforo, Jr. and his wife Katie of Delaware; Leonard J. Riotto of Bangor; and five great-grandchildren: Alex, Julianna, Izzy, Philip III, Elena; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 2, from 11AM to12PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 12PM. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any animal shelter of one's choosing.
