Janet K. Sheridan, 94, wife of the late R. Edward Sheridan, entered into eternal peace at the Suffield House on Friday, October 18, 2024. The youngest daughter of the late Floyd and Marion (Glidden) Kennedy, she was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church. Janet is survived by her daughter Noreen Congelos and husband Steve of Broad Brook; her grandchildren, Steve, Marc (Kristin), and Anthony (Kristyn) Congelos; her great-grandchildren, Gianna, Kamden, Carter and Kennedy Congelos; her sister-in-law, Charlene Kearns of Windsor Locks and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her two brothers Albert and Robert Kennedy, her sisters Marion Bourgeoise, Madge Norris, and Emma King, and Doris Vasseur.
Her family would like to thank the staff of the Suffield House, especially nurses John and Jackie, for their kind and compassionate care; as well as Janet's niece Rita for all the support she's been for the family.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, from 12:30-1:30 PM at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. Enfield. A Graveside Service will be follow at St. Patrick King St. Cemetery at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or the East Windsor Ambulance Association, Inc., PO Box 188, East Windsor, CT 06088. For online condolences, please visit www.leetestevens.com.
