Obituary of Janice M. Brault
Mrs. Janice M. Brault, 77, of Whitesboro, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Janice was born in Utica, on January 16, 1947, the daughter of Roman and Marie (Schumacher) Szablak and received her education in Utica schools. On June 21, 1968, Janice was united in marriage with Ronald R. Brault at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica, a loving and devoted union of 38 years, until Ronald's death in 2006. For many years, Janice was employed with the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center in Utica. As a parishioner of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Whitesboro, Janice had a deep devotion to her Catholic, Christian Faith. Her generosity in donating to many Catholic organizations was something she did with great joy. She will most be remembered as a true lady who enjoyed the simple things in life and who especially loved being with her family, who were the light of her life.
Mrs. Brault is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Lynn and Craig Crouse of Clark Mills, NY and Rhonda Tom (Scott Coleman) of Apalachin, NY; four cherished grandchildren, Craig Crouse Jr., Cortnie Crouse, Dr. Kiana Zaloga and her husband, Zachary and Cameron Tom; three adored great grandchildren, Mikaiden, Phoenix and Wynter; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Sue Szablak of GA and Bruce and Phoung Szablak of NJ and a very special niece, Cindy Wells of Frankfort. Besides her husband Ronald, Janice was predeceased by her beloved grandson Brandon Brault in 2003 and brother, Roman Szablak, Jr.
Visitation for family and friends is Monday, August 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation. She will be laid to rest with her husband and grandson in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro. Those wishing to donate in Janice's memory, please do so to a charity of your choice.
