Janice Carol Busdiecker ObituaryJanice Carol Busdiecker, 87, passed away peacefully at home on November 2, 2025, in Tega Cay, SC. Her gentle nature and warm heart will be greatly missed by family and friends, alike.
Janice was born June 3, 1938, in Cleveland, OH and lived in Euclid for over 50 years. She became a beautiful bride right out of high school and began her marriage of 68 years to Ron. She and Ron went on to have 4 children, 9 grand-children and 13 great-grandchildren. They chose to raise their family with the foundation being firmly built in Christ with the support of their school and church family at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She delighted in family gatherings and created beautiful traditions that are still carried on by her family.
Jan had an artistic eye and appreciated the beauty of her surroundings and in nature. Her watercolor paintings and pottery creations exemplified her talents. She treasured spending time with her family and made sure there were many picnic gatherings, family vacations and holidays spent together. The grand-children remember the Easter Egg Hunts that took place in the backyard amongst her beautiful hillside garden. They commented on the "jungle-like" room which was a beautiful porch filled with many plants thriving under her care including the orchids that would burst into bloom. She is thought of often as they now try to name flowers, plants, and birds for their own children telling them that, "Gigi would know," if they did not! They have memories of the beautiful holiday table settings, French Puff Muffins, and the candle-light services at Bethlehem on Christmas Eve followed by the excited rush back to Grammie's and Grandpa Ron's to open gifts. The specially chosen ornaments with tiny nametags that she gifted each year will be another reminder of these special memories. She also passed on her love of reading by showering the children with special books, writing notes to them on the covers. Attention to details and traditions such as these were because of her unending love for her family.
Jan had a rewarding career as a realtor with Dolores C. Knowlton Realty and Realty One. She was a Top Producer many years due to her dedication to her clients and the care she took to help them find the home of their dreams. She was kept busy by the many referrals she received and the repeat clients, many of whom became long-time friends. We will all miss her but will treasure the way she touched each of our hearts and lives.
Jan was the beloved wife of the late Ronald C. Busdiecker; loving mother of Kevin W. (Debbie) Busdiecker, Eileen S. (Dennis) Clarke, Karen L. (Tom) Legerski, Lisa A. (Mike) Ziegler; cherished grandmother of Kathleen, Kevin, Eric, Jessica, Kristen, David, Kelsey, Rachael and Kaylin; as well adored great-grandmother to Tyler, Ava, Parker, August, Colin, Penelope, Hudson, Clarke, Dean, Hadley, Caden, Levi and Margot; caring sister-in-law to Wayne (Sue) Busdiecker and treasured aunt of Kellie, Craig, Kim, Koreen, Kelly and Todd. Jan was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Lucille (nee Brackshaw) Mackey and sister, Karen (Wayne) Curtis.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 14, at The Abbey of Willoughby (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), 38011 Euclid Ave., in Willoughby, with a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
