In Loving Memory of Jarold "Jerry" L. Peck,
Jarold L. Peck, retired Executive Vice President for JPMorgan Chase, known to his loved ones as Jerry, peacefully passed away on May 19, 2023, surrounded by his wife and four children. He was born on November 24, 1941, in North Platte, Nebraska, to his late parents, Malcolm and Velma Peck. Jerry's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will forever live on as all survivors will keep their chins up per endless, seeded verbal instruction throughout the years. Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Wiggins Peck, who held a special place in his heart.
Jerry leaves behind his beloved wife of twenty-one years, Diane Peck, who stood by his side through life's joys and challenges. Their enduring love and friendship were an inspiration to all who knew them. Jerry's children, Jennifer (Jamie), Katy (Brian), Julie (Carl IV), and Andy (Jodi), were the light of his life, and his immense pride in their accomplishments was evident to anyone who met him.
As a doting grandfather, Jerry had a special bond with his grandchildren: Hunter, Caroline, Ryan, Carl V,
Allison, Jackson, Brendan, and Benjamin. He shared countless joyful moments with them, passing down
his wisdom, love, and sense of humor.
Jerry was fortunate to have the support and love of his sisters, Jane, Dorothy, and Kathie, who acknowledged him as a pillar of strength and support, guiding them to navigate life's challenges whether solicited advice or otherwise.
George Miller, Jerry's best friend, stood as a constant companion in his life. Their shared memories and
adventures were an integral part of Jerry's journey. Their daily phone calls, portfolio building, and hunting adventures served as a reminder of the profound impact true friendship can have on one's life.
Jerry's friendships extended to those affiliated with Pere Marquette Rod & Gun Club, Birmingham Senior Men's Club, and Bald Mountain Shooting Club. Jerry enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him through his leadership and uncensored feedback.
A private cremation ceremony has already taken place to honor Jerry's wishes. A memorial service to
celebrate his life will be announced at a later date, allowing friends and loved ones to come together to
honor his memory, share stories, and find solace in one another.
Jerry's legacy lives on through the memories he created and the love he shared. He will be remembered
for his heart, smile, and unwavering swearing by his family and friends. Jerry's legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Nebraska Lincoln College of Business on his behalf.
