Jason Green Obituary

Visit the Osborne Funeral Home - Evansville website to view the full obituary.
Jason Wayne Green was born on April 28, 1975 in Evansville, IN. It was no coincidence that his birthday just so happened to fall on National Super Hero Day, because that is what he was to his children, the boys he coached for his son's basketball team and everyone that met him! He was born to Stanley and Burnistean Green of Evansville, IN. He was the youngest of two sisters and a brother. It was on July 20, 2024 that it was time for him to hang up his cape and take the next step on his journey.
If there was one thing about Jason, he loved to tell stories, especially about growing up in Evansville and his days spent on the Westside with his family and friends. He was a graduate of Central High School where he was on the football team, the wrestling team, the swim team and the Marching Band. As he got older, Jason's life became about his family, especially his children. He was so proud of being his son's basketball coach for the Holy Spirit Angels, he loved taking family road trips and visiting the National Parks and always being able to make them laugh with his endless dad jokes. One of the other things that Jason was so proud of was his job at Metronet as their Facilities Site Manager and was taking classes to become a Real Estate Broker. He also enjoyed spending his time volunteering with his family for Honor Flight of Southern Indiana and spending time with his dogs. He had endless dreams for himself and his family that will continue to live on through his children. Jason never met a stranger and had a light in him that will continue to shine for the rest of time.
Jason is survived by his wife, Amanda Green, his sons, Jayce and Jonas Green, his daughters, Marchelle Green and Layla Brown-Green, his brother, Terry (Nikki) Green and his sister, Wendy Lary, his grandchrildren and cousins, extended family and everyone one that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Burnistean Green, his son, Jadrian Green, his sister, Latriae Moore, his grandparents, Roy and Joann Lowe and several aunts and uncles.
