Jason Paul Hendrickson, 40, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2022.

He was born August 5, 1981, in Anderson.

Jason was a member of Indiana Business Education Association, National Business Education Association, and Indiana State Advisor to Business Professionals of America. He loved travelling, making Christmas shopping a planned-out sport, and loved Disney, especially anything Mickey Mouse. Above all else he loved his students and teaching. He was a longstanding educator for 17 years, dedicating his life to his students. He taught at Danville Community Schools, J. Everett Light Career Center. His last position was with Cengage. Jason was on his way to completing his master's degree from I.S.U.

He is survived by his mother, Thelma (West) Hendrickson; father, Robert Hendrickson; special cousin, AKA: Sister, Amy Melson; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins. He was preceded by Grandmother & Grandfather West; Grandfather Hendrickson; Grandmother Gourley; and aunt, Carolyn Melson.

Services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, March 17, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Indiana BPA, PO Box 912, Huntington, IN 46750, with notation on memo line, Jason Hendrickson Memorial.

The family would like to extend their gratitude toward the staff of RHI, for the care they showed Jason.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Hendrickson's passing. He helped my professional growth in high school and I will never be able to think of high school without thinking of him. I was often in his room every morning preparing for BPA meetings and conferences. The Compassionate Friends is an international, non-denominational, grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child.
