Jason Lee "Jl" Michael

Mr. Jason Lee (J.L.) Michael, Sr., 77, of Griffin, GA passed away Sunday January 12, 2025.
J.L. was born in Cullman, Alabama on June 29, 1947. His parents, Homer and Clarise Michael, brothers, Tony Ray Michael, Arzell (Claris Jo) Michael, Noel (Florence) Michael, Ricky Michael, Kenneth Michael; sister, Omie Dee Hamer; granddaughter, Jessica Lee, all preceded him in death. Jason was a Blue Grass Musician, playing with several bands, and was inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Bluegrass Hall of Fame. It is rare in life to meet someone who impacts every single person they meet, whether it is just for one moment or for a lifetime. Jason was that person. He lived his life as if each day was a gift, each new person he met was a friend, and each moment was to be appreciated and celebrated. For Jason, being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was his most important job on earth and was extraordinary at each. For Jason, happiness was simply a beautiful day playing his Bluegrass Music.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca; son, Eric (Lauri) Michael; daughter, Tina Yvette Davenport; stepson, Ricky (Lisa) Reeves; son, Jason (Christie) Michael, Jr; son, Joshua (Pamela) Michael; son, Jeremy (Salah) Michael; stepson, Jonathan (Melissa) Anderson; stepdaughter, Christine Anderson; many grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren; brothers, Delbert Michael and Randall Michael; sisters, Ann, Jan, Margaret, and Marlene; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be Tuesday January 14, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Matt Hinesley will officiate. The interment will be in Westwood Gardens.
