Jean Elizabeth Dixon Faulds died on December 4, 2024, at the age of 91. Jean was born in Charlotte, North Carolina to Jean Elizabeth and Willard Dixon. She was the third of their six children. Jean met and married her husband of 65 years, Thomas Faulds, who preceded her in death in 2019. They settled in Alexandria, Virginia where they raised their five children.
Jean lived a long and joyful life, and the joy that filled her heart radiated to everyone around her. From the neighborhood children and pets she nurtured as a child during the Depression, to the parties she organized in the Hybla Valley neighborhood where she raised her family, to the vacations she arranged every year in Pawleys Island, SC, and the forts and swings she built for her grandchildren at their creek house-Jean was the epitome of joy (with a dash of mischief.) She had a beautiful smile and a knack for shenanigans. Jean was forever and for many home.
Jean spent the last 24 years of her life in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl, including five years in Starling Assisted Living Nocatee.
She is survived by her children Patty Raines of Ponte Vedra, FL, Kathy Perdue of Matthews, VA, Suzie Monteith of Rochelle, VA, John Faulds of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Beth Seney of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL as well as 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A private memorial will be held this summer in Pawleys Island, SC.
