Jean M. (Rachiele) Lauro, 87, of Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 12, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. She was the cherished wife of the late Angelo R. Lauro, with whom she shared 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Providence, Jean was the daughter of the late Ralph and Jean (Belluscio) Rachiele.
She leaves behind her four beloved children: Stephen Lauro and his wife Gina, Cheryl Saccoccio and her husband Bill, Michael Lauro and Richard Lauro and his partner, John Stotts. She was a proud grandmother to Dana Weisman and her husband Jared, Christopher Lauro, and Billy Saccoccio. Jean was predeceased by her brothers, Angelo “Bob” Rachiele and Richard Rachiele.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Monday morning, June 16, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Entombment will take place at St. Ann Cemetery – Our Risen Christ Mausoleum, Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jean’s name may be made to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
Jean’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Nina and Audrey for the exceptional care, kindness, and professionalism they showed while caring for their mother during her time of need.
