Jeanette Mixon of Rochester, passed away from MDS, a blood cancer, surrounded by family on September 25, 2025.

Jeanette was born on November 11, 1949, to James and Evelyn Juip. Jeanette is survived by her husband, Herm, son Nicholas and daughter, Haley. She is also survived by her siblings, Geraldine Marshall, Gary Juip (Michelle), Gerald Juip, and Edith Peterson, her only remaining aunt. Jeanette is predeceased by her parents, and her brother, James.

Jeanette grew up in Memphis, Michigan and graduated from Memphis High School in 1967. On May 23, 1969, Jeanette married Herm Mixon and together built a loving family. Jeanette graduated from Macomb Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1990. Jeanette was a Registered Nurse at Troy Beaumont Hospital until her retirement in 2016.

Jeanette lived life with joy and curiosity. She loved traveling, from cruises in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, or Scandinavia to road trips across the U.S. and adventures in Alaska. She and Herm traveled extensively together and spent their winters in Florida.

Jeanette was deeply committed to her community as a former member and President of the Rochester Junior Women's Club, where she helped make a positive impact through volunteer service. She also found joy in reading, gardening, especially caring for her orchids, and treasured time spent with friends, including regular lunches with her high school classmates.
