Jeanette A. St. Peter, age 92, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025, after a brief illness, with her loving children by her side. At that moment, Heaven received another Special Angel.
Jeanette was born on April 1, 1933, in Cherry Valley, the daughter of James and
Helen Butler Quant. She received her education in the Gloversville Schools. She worked for several glove shops in Gloversville, most notably, The Grandoe Glove Corporation. After raising her five children, she discovered she had a real talent as a health care worker. She truly enjoyed helping people.
Jeanette was united in marriage to George M. St. Peter, on November 23, 1985, at
the former Mt. Carmel Church in Gloversville. They enjoyed many years together, socializing with their extended family and many friends. George passed away on June 19, 2021. They loved dining out, especially at Harold's Restaurant in Gloversville.
They enjoyed many vacations in Florida together. They loved each other dearly. Jeanette had an outgoing, fun-loving personality and loved visiting with her many
friends. She really enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
George and Jeanette enjoyed attending the New York Yankees games and Buffalo Bills games, even though the New York Giants were George's favorite football team. In later years, Jeanette enjoyed listening to the New York Yankees on WENT radio.
Jeanette is survived by her loving children Sandra Edwards (David), Timothy Hohler (Kim), and Cindy Cole, all of Gloversville, Anthony Hohler of Amsterdam, and Jerry Hohler (Geoff Leather) Saratoga Springs. A brother, Richard Quant, Gloversville, sister-in-law Gloria Quant, Schenectady, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great- grandchild, three sisters-in-law, Angel Solomon (Harold) of Syracuse, Irene Kinsley (Walter) Inlet Beach, Fl., and Yolanda Gifford (David) Northville., one brother-in-law, John St. Peter, Johnstown. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Richard and Tonia Smith and daughter, Ella Smith, Fl. Many other friends, too numerous to mention. You know who you are and that she had a special place in her heart for you. She was predeceased by her husband George, sisters Madeline Simonson, Ethel Carpenter and Patricia Knapp. Brothers James Quant, Jr., and Ernest Yost.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday May 22, 2025, at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St., Gloversville, with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

Such a sweetheart...always remembered you and George dining at Harold´s Restaurant. That was their favorite place to eat and for many years. I wish I could get to my pictures from years ago of you, I would post them. God bless you Jeannette, you are now in heaven in the hands of the Lord and now next to the man who loved you most.
