Jeanne C. (Ledogar) Deacon, 82, a resident of Nashua, NH formerly of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. Deacon with whom she shared 42 years of marriage until his passing in 2008.
She was born in Newark, NJ on September 30, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Stumpf) Ledogar of South Orange, New Jersey.
Jeanne grew up in South Orange, New Jersey and graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood in 1959. She attended Katharine Gibbs College and graduated in 1961. After college, Jeanne returned to South Orange to work at Continental Insurance Company in New York City.
She married William Deacon and together they moved to Pittsburgh, PA in 1965. Jeanne and her family relocated to Chelmsford, MA in 1974. She was an active real estate broker with Century 21 Landmark for many years and most recently with Century 21 Northeast.
Jeanne most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, William and Delaney Deacon
Jeanne leaves her son, David W. Deacon and his wife, Venera of Nashua; her grandson, William and her granddaughter, Delaney of Nashua; her two nephews Mark and his wife Julie Ledogar of Oak Park, Illinois and Paul Ledogar, of New Lennox, Illinois.
She was predeceased by her loving daughter, Christina Deacon, her husband, William Deacon, and her brother, Walter and his wife Carol Ledogar of New Lennox, Illinois.
Memorial donations may be made in Jeanne's name to The Humane Society for Greater Nashua.
Her funeral services and interment will be held privately.
