The family of Jeanne Emma Haner, 85, of St. Albans, announces that she passed away peacefully November 9, 2025, in St. Albans. She was born in St. Albans, November 15, 1939 to Lionel and Marion (Denny) Remillard. Jeanne married Sanford Gaboriault, and he passed in Viet Nam in 1968. She later married Almond Haner in 1972, and he passed in 2011, Jeanne will be remembered by her family for her love of feeding everyone, and her care and concern for everyone else. Her children will remember the wonderful way she was able to stay at home and care for them while they grew up. Jeanne loved to sew, knit and crochet. She was always proud of the clothes and other things she made. Jeanne was known for her love of gardening and making pickles. She also loved baking, and was famous for her apple pie.
She is survived by her children Kristine Nichols and spouse James Nichols of Enosburgh Falls, VT, Richard Gaboriault and spouse Linda Gaboriault of St. Albans, VT, and Sanford Gaboriault of St. Albans, VT, her grandchildren, Rebecca Brothers, Amanda Eads, Kathleen Gaboriault, Tyler Gaboriault, Logan Nichols, Dylan Nichols, Maddy Nichols, her great-granddaughters Paige Putnam and Morgan Brothers. She also leaves her siblings, Carol Girard of Essex, VT, Patricia Remillard of St. Albans, VT, Hubert Remillard and spouse Jerrilyn Remillard of Georgia, VT, Maurice Remillard and spouse Cathy Remillard of St. Albans, VT, and Norman Remillard of Sheldon, VT,
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Lionel and Marion Remillard, her husbands Sanford Gaboriault and Almond Haner, and siblings Joyce Remillard, Joan Dutkiewitz, James Remillard and Michael Remillard.
A Remembrance Gathering will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM, in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home. A Time of Reflection will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will be next spring in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
As an alternative to flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society 237 East Ave., Burlinton, VT 05401.
