Jeannette M. Cobbs, 47, died at her home in Brockton on Saturday, July 15, 2023, unexpectedly but after a long period of deteriorating health.  Born in Stoughton, daughter of Juanita (Silva) Perry and James F. Cobbs, she was raised in Brockton and was a 1993 graduate of Brockton High School. She later attended Massasoit Community College and was a graduate of Rob Roy Beauty Academy in Taunton.  Jeannette worked at various area healthcare facilities and enjoyed her work as a Case Worker at the New England Coalition Against Trafficking before her health struggles led to her retirement.  She was a dedicated mother and grandmother.  Jeannette was member of the Nipmuc Native American Nation and was known as “Graceful Swan” to her fellow members of the Nipmuc Nation. She was known for helping those in need and for her big heart and generous nature.  Jeannette enjoyed music, especially R&B and Gospel and was always available to help assist with doing hair or makeup. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.

Jeannette was the mother of Haylee Cobbs and Isaiah Cobbs both of Middleboro and Mariah Cobbs Redlon of Fall River.  She was the daughter of Juanita (Silva) Perry of Middleboro and James F. Cobbs, Jr. of Brockton.  Jeannette was the sister of the late Candice Cobbs and the stepsister of Amanda, James and Harrison Cobbs and the grandmother of ILannah Quinones and Vanessa Redlon and was awaiting the birth of her third grandchild.  She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Prayers will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, July 27, 2023 with Visiting Hours prior to the Prayers from 4-7 PM. My sister/mommy/cousin/friend,
We always joked how you wore so many hats for me, and wore them all well. You were an instant best friend and you and I could always have a 6th sense about each other. "Graceful Swan" is such a perfect name for you, the way you handled so many difficult situations life threw at you, and the ones that you guided me through. The love you had for your children and family cannot be put into words, but I can only imagine a love of that magnitude. You will forever be missed by me, but I know this is a mere transformation and you are always nearby. I love you.

Rest easy Jeannette. I pray you are now dancing with Candice and you two are together watching over your Mama and all of your children. Your beautiful souls have crossed over much too soon. Many prayers and much love to the family.
