Jeffrey C. Pelkey, 35, of Springfield, MA passed from his earthly life on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Born on January 16, 1989 in Hartford, CT, he was the beloved son of Charles Pelkey of Enfield and the late Joanne Sanchez. Was educated within the Enfield School System and NETRS (NE Tractor Training School). Jeff had resided in Springfield, MA for the past 20 years and in Enfield prior to that. He was employed as a commercial truck driver for Werner Enterprise and Cardinal Logistics. Jeff was a devoted father, caring son, and loving brother with a love for family in the deepest way. He had many hobbies with fishing being his greatest passion, along with motorcycle & snowmobile riding. He also liked working on his cars alongside his father. Jeff's love for food and cooking helped him become a very talented cook which was greatly influenced by his grandfather's Puerto Rican heritage.
Besides his father, Jeff is survived by his two children: Jazlyn and Kayla Pelkey, both of Florida, siblings: Jamie Pelkey of Springfield, MA, Jaiana and Jailyn Sanchez-Snyder both of Crystal River, Florida, nieces, Jayla Egerton, and Faith Gaud, nephews, Jamari Egerton and Trevor Gaud, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his mother Joanne, he was predeceased by a daughter Kailyn Pelkey, paternal grandparents, John & Hazal Pelkey and maternal grandparents, Angel & Jean Sanchez.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield, CT. Burial will be private in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield.
