Jeffrey Edward Wehn Obituary
Jeffrey Edward Wehn, a resident of Sykesville, Maryland, passed away on April 27, 2024. Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, in December 1960, he was the son of the late Frederick and Anna Wehn. He was predeceased by brothers Roy and Jerry.
Jeff spent most of his years in the picturesque town of Sykesville.
As a remarkable father, Jeff leaves behind cherished memories with his children: Jessica Wehn and Michael Wehn, as well as daughter in-law Meagan Wehn, and grandchildren Kayden Orth, Grace Wehn, and Cole Wehn. Their laughter echoed through their home, creating a tapestry of joy that will forever warm their hearts.
Jeff's love for tending to vegetables was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his nurturing spirit. His backyard yielded bountiful crops of tomatoes, peppers, and zucchinis, each harvest reflecting his care and dedication. However Jeff's heart truly belonged to the Chesapeake Bay. The salty breeze, the rhythmic lapping of waves, and the call of seagulls were his companions. As an early morning crabber and fisherman, he reveled in the solitude and beauty of the bay. Whether casting a line, pulling up crab traps, or navigating his boat, Jeff found solace in those quiet moments on the water.
Family gatherings by the bay were his favorite. The smell of J.O. seasoning, the crack of crab shells, and the laughter of loved ones-these memories will forever linger along the shores of the Chesapeake. Jeff's legacy extends beyond his family; it embraces the ebb and flow of tides, the sunrises over the horizon, and the timeless rhythm of the bay.
Professionally, Jeff was a proud brother of the International Union of Elevator Constructors. His commitment to safety and efficiency in elevator systems was unwavering, and he took immense pride in his work.
Jeffrey Edward Wehn's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the legacy of his kindness, laughter, and love will endure.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Association in Jeff's honor.
Jeff loved warm summers, so to honor his memory, there will be a celebration of life planned to take place this summer.
May he rest in peace.

Jeff was a really nice guy, my favorite attribute was his humor. He had a great sense of humor, very witty with a sharp mind, very easy to talk to. You should have been intimidated but he put you right at ease with his charming hilarity. He will always be remembered that way!

We all know that dogs can sense good, loving people. I have never seen dogs-all dogs- take to a person like so many dogs gravitated to Jeff. They instinctively trusted him, and they were wise to do so. He was gentle and loving with all living things. He will be missed. Bob and Julie

Jeff was one of a kind. On a fishing trip on the Bay years ago, he introduced me to The Book of True or Not True. I have won all marital disputes since then. I will always remember trips on the water with him, the great feasts afterwards, and the gems of wisdom for life.

That he held me when I was a baby. He was the best grandfather and I miss him a lot.
