Ms. Jeraldine Johnson-Jackson

Ms. Jeraldine Johnson Jackson was born on June 15, 1947, to Johnny Johnson, Sr., and Mary Lois Johnson in Griffin Spalding County, Georgia. She received her formal education in the Spalding County School System.
Ms. Jeraldine Johnson Jackson accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and embraced her faith and became a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Ms. Jeraldine Johnson Jackson was employed by the University of Georgia, Griffin Campus where she worked as a Building Service Worker for 25 years until her retirement.
In her leisure time Jeraldine enjoyed shopping, cooking, gardening, and she loved spending time with her family and friends.
On Saturday, November 30, 2024, our Heavenly Father called Ms. Jearldine Johnson Jackson home, where she will forever dwell in his presence. She is set free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Johnson, Sr., and Mary Lois Johnson, her siblings, Johnny E. Johnson, Maurice Johnson, Melvin W. Johnson, Harold Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, and Walter Harper.
Ms. Jeraldine Johnson Jackson leaves a lasting legacy, full of memories to be cherished in the hearts of her loving and devoted children, Lisa Jackson Miller, Mickie Jackson (Richard) Morton, Rhonda Jackson (Anthony) Flint, Carlena Walker, Sonya Watson, and Lawrence Hastings, Jr., her siblings, Thelma (Milton) Holmes, Wayne Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Eric Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Jr., Gladys J. (Tommy) Favors, and Carolyn Johnson, and her aunt, Opal Crawley; Jearldine leaves a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, who will continue to honor her legacy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. Service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Rev. H. Bernard Miller is the Eulogist.
