Jerome Dale Reynolds Sr., passed away peacefully at his home in Painesville, on April 13, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 28, 1947, in Painesville, Ohio, to Roland and Ida (nee: Belfi) Reynolds, Jerome lived a life marked by dedication to his family, country, and community.
Jerome served with honor and distinction as a member of the Marine Corps, the Army, and the National Guard. His patriotism and valor were paralleled only by his entrepreneurial spirit, which led him to establish and operate CVC Aluminum and Siding. Jerome's keen sense of observation and love for mysteries also drew him to become a licensed private investigator.
Beyond his professional life, he was a treasured member of his community, holding a lifetime membership with the Fairport VFW where he shared camaraderie and service with fellow veterans. Jerome's enjoyment of life was evident through his leisurely visits to local casinos, relaxing family cookouts on his back porch, and quiet afternoons spent in the park engrossed in a good book.
Jerome's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving sons Jerome "Jerry" (Carla) Reynolds Jr, Andrew Reynolds, and Brian (Lisa) Reynolds; his doting grandchildren, Nick, Vincent, Summer, Anthony, Rebecca, Kristen, and Brian; as well as by his many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents, his son Derrick Reynolds, and his siblings Ronnie Reynolds, Hazel Stone, Beverly Ede, and Norman Reynolds.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 10:00a.m - 12:00p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. Military Honors will follow at 12:15p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Painesville, Ohio 44077. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Jerome, please visit our Tree Store.
