Jerry Fendley, 79 of Sumner, passed away February 28, 2025.
A graveside service has been set for Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Forest Chapel Cemetery with Joe Nimock officiating. No formal visitation hour has been scheduled.
Jerry was born in Paris, Texas on February 4, 1946 to James Richard Fendley and Nina Hulsey Fendley. He was a faithful member of the Bonham Street Church of Christ. Jerry loved to hunt, fish and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved gardening, being outside and spending time with his family he loved so dear. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his world. Their sporting events were very important to him and he was the #1 biggest fan.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Freeman Fendley; children, Nicki Brown, Jimmy Fendley and wife Lara; grandchildren, Brittany Roberts and husband David, Ashley Stumpf and husband Zac, Balee Brown, Colt Fendley, Tyler Akard, and Jacob Akard; 3 great-grandchildren, Rustyn Roberts, Quinn Akard and Chase Stumpf; brother, Stanley Fendley; sister, Suzanne McFarland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Fendley; brother, Richard Fendley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rustyn Roberts, Colt Fendley, Tyler Akard, Jacob Akard, David Roberts, Zac Stumpf, Chase Lester, and Kevin Davis..
