Jerry L. Wines ObituaryEAST LIVERPOOL – Jerry L. Wines, 90, of East Liverpool, passed away Thursday evening, July 31, 2025, at his home.
Jerry was born in East Liverpool on April 21, 1935, a son of the late Russell and Ruby Markham Wines. A lifetime resident, he was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1953. Jerry worked at Quaker State Refinery as a Tankerman for the barges until his retirement. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and lead an active lifestyle until his recent illness. He was a regular at the East Liverpool YMCA where he especially enjoyed pickup basketball games. Jerry was a member of the National Senior Olympic Team that made a successful tournament run.
His wife, Donna D. Wines, passed away July 13, 2021. They were married March 10, 1955. Together they raised their loving family: two daughters, Lori Cowan and her husband, Chris, of East Liverpool, and Linda Martone and her husband, Chris, of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, and a son, Keith Wines of East Liverpool. Left to cherish his memory are five grandchildren: Kristen Stout, Brandi Drago and her husband, Michael, Joseph Wines and his wife, Mallory, and Ryan Stout and Zachary Martone as well as three great-grandchildren: Luca J. Wines, Livia Wines and Francesca Drago and a step-grandchild, Rochelle Russell. He also leaves behind a sister, Bette Calhoun.
Pastor Rick Anderson conducted a private funeral service for the family at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial was at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
