Jessica A. (Miller) Clabaugh, 48, of New Oxford, PA, passed away on June 13, 2025, from cancer.
I was born to Maurice Miller and Jane (Greenholt) on August 14, 1976. Although pretty sure dad wanted a son, this was most likely one of the best days of my parents' lives. I would later be identified as their favorite child. Vying for my title are my older sisters, Melissa and Rebecca. Although it wasn't easy growing up in the shadow of such beautiful and intelligent sisters, I learned a lot from them.
I fell in love with Burt Clabaugh when I was 17. We had been friends, but things changed, and friendship blossomed into love. His introversion was the perfect balance to my extroversion. We married in 1998 and built a family. We made a beautiful, smart and kindhearted daughter, Sierra and a handsome, sensitive, tech-savvy son, Brady. Our house was filled with laughter, love and lots of sarcasm. I believed that "having a weird mother builds character." My kids have a lot of character
I graduated from Delone Catholic High School in 1994 and the Hanover Practical Nursing Program in 1998. Throughout the years, I volunteered as volleyball coach for Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (ABVM) and Sacred Heart School (SHS). I worked at the Brethren Home for two years and Hanover Hospital for 19 years as a nurse and then transitioned into IT. I loved being a nurse and was a darn good one. It broke my heart when a back injury changed my life and career path. I joined the team at OSS Health in 2019 and genuinely enjoyed working there.
I am also leaving behind my brother-in-law Nick Russo. My parent in-laws Tim and Winnie (O'Brien) Clabaugh. Sibling in-laws: Bridget and Mike Grasser; Bruce and Jamie Clabaugh; and Barrett and Kristyan Clabaugh. Nieces and nephews: Chelsea and Charles Peters; Alex and Agustina Baugher; Luke and Kayla Baugher; Rachel and Justin Terry; Jacob Miller Russo and fiancée Haley Macray; Chloe Miller Russo Moloney and James Moloney; Kameo and Kady Grasser; Olivia, Valarie, Dylan, and Lila Clabaugh; and Maxton Clabaugh. Great nephews Jonathan, Theo, Anthony, Jason, and Andrew as well as a great niece Ridley and another on the way.
My friends and family were very important to me. Please keep them in your thoughts since losing someone as fabulous as me is going to be difficult for them!
