Mr. Jessie. T. Sutton, Jr. age 82, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at his home. The family will hold a celebration of life service at a later date.
Mr. Sutton was born June 17, 1941 in Eufaula, AL a son of the late Jessie T. Sutton, Sr., and Gerdie G. Powell. Jessie grew up in Eufaula, AL where he worked for over 30 years in road construction, and was a member of the National Guard. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Sutton enjoyed fishing and had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his beloved dog, “Rosie.”
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sutton was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Ann Sutton; and sisters, Jewell Parsons, and Lucy Petty.
Survivors include his son, Jessie E. Sutton of Mt. Croghan, SC; daughter, Patricia S. (Mike) Karlfa of Hampton, VA; granddaughter, Laura Sutton of Mt. Croghan, SC; grandson, Jessie E. Sutton, Jr. of Mt. Croghan, SC; and great grandsons, Nathan Rivers, Brandon Rivers, and Dylan Rivers; brother, Mike (Sandy) Sutton of Ruby, SC; nieces and nephew, Jennifer, Julie, and Jett Sutton.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) of Chesterfield, SC is serving the Sutton family.
