Jesus Torres, age 71 of Houston entered into eternal rest on February 11, 2022. Jesus Torres was born March 5th 1950 in Salvador, state of Durango, Mexico to Diego Torres Soto and Guadalupe Cortez Rocha, he was 1 of 3 children.
He met his wife in the early 70's and had 3 children. He was married to Maria E. Salazar for 35+ years until her passing in 2012. Jesus worked in carpentry among other trades for 50+ years, providing for his family was his main goal.
Jesus took great pride to be a provider for his wife and children but his sole purpose in life has always been his grandchildren. They meant the world to them, they were his reason for living. Though he couldn't always be there for some of them, they weren't too far from his thoughts and always kept them in his heart. He enjoyed every moment that he could with his grandbabies, taking them to the park, out to eat or just riding around with him in his truck. He had such a desire to be needed that he would make it a task to pick up his granddaughters to get dropped off at school every morning without fail.
Grandpa "Papo" will be greatly missed and will live on in those that loved him the most.
Jesus is preceded in death by Wife, Maria Etelvina Torres, Father, Diego Torres, Mother, Guadalupe Cortez.
He is survived by; Three Sons, George (Lorena) Torres, David Torres, Martin Torres; Three Daughters, Diana Torres, Maria de Jesus Torres, Antonia Torres; Eight Grandsons, Gabriel Rene Torres (Madelyn Estrada), Marc Anthony Torres, John Sebastian Torres, David Mathew Torres, Nathan Kane Torres, Diego Torres, Marcelo Torres, Angel Torres; Eight Granddaughters, Lea Rae Torres, Hailey Jade Torres, Camilla Nykole Cervantes, Justine Abigail Cervantes, Carolina Torres, Ivette Torres, Jessica Renteria Torres, Rocio Renteria Torres; Four Great-granddaughters, Aurora Marie Torres, Melahni Grace Torres, Patricia Rojas Torres, Montserrat Torres; Two Great-grandsons, Jesus Antonio Rojas Torres, Oliver Torres Samara.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas. A Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm.
Cremation will take place at a later date.

Conoció a su esposa a principios de los años '70 y tuvo 3 hijos. Estuvo casado con María E. Salazar durante más de 35 años hasta que ella falleció en 2012. Jesus trabajó en carpintería, entre otros oficios, durante más de 50 años, su principal objetivo era mantener a su familia.
Jesus se enorgullecía de ser un proveedor para su esposa e hijos, pero su único propósito en la vida siempre han sido sus nietos. Significaban el mundo para él, eran su razón de vivir. Aunque no siempre pudo estar ahí para algunos de ellos, no estaban demasiado lejos de su pensamiento y siempre los mantuvo en su corazón. Disfrutaba cada momento que podía con sus nietos, llevándolos al parque a comer o simplemente paseando con él en su camioneta. Tenía tal deseo de ser necesitado que se convertiría en una tarea para el recoger a sus nietas para hir a dejarlas a la escuela todas las mañanas sin falta.
Al abuelo "Papo" se le extrañará mucho y vivirá siempre en aquellos que más lo querían.
Jesus es precedido en la muerte por su Esposa, María Etelvina Torres, Padre, Diego Torres, Madre, Guadalupe Cortez.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el martes 22 de febrero de 2022, de 3:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas. Un Rosario comenzará a las 6:00 pm.
La cremación tendrá lugar en una fecha posterior.
