Canton - Jill Underwood Scruggs, 51, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023.
Jill was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Ted and Regina Cantrall Underwood.
Jill dedicated 24 years of her life to Blue Ridge Dermatology as a Clinical Assistant, where she made a significant impact on both her colleagues and patients. Jill's career at Blue Ridge Dermatology was characterized by her compassion and dedication to providing the best care possible.
Outside of work, Jill had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. She possessed a keen eye for aesthetics and loved to decorate her house according to each season. Her creativity knew no bounds as she transformed her living space into a vibrant and welcoming haven for family and friends.
Taking care of her loved ones brought immense joy to Jill's heart. Her family, including her cherished dog, Copper, held a special place in her life.
Jill is survived by her loving spouse of 31 years, Aaron Scruggs; a son, Clayton Scruggs and his fiancée, Rebeca Rogers; her mother-in-law, Ann Scruggs; and her brother-in-law, Bryan Scruggs. Her family held a special place in Jill's heart.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. It will be a time for loved ones to come together, share stories, and celebrate the beautiful life Jill lived.
