Jimmie A. Tomko, 85, of Harrison Twp., passed away on May 5, 2025.
He was born in Rochester, Michigan the son of the late John and Olga (Branesky) Tomko.
Jimmie married the love of his life, Stephanie, in Mt. Clemens. Together, they shared 19 wonderful years of marriage before her passing in July of 1979.
Jimmie was known for his love of the outdoors and spent many peaceful hours gardening and fishing. He also enjoyed collecting model cars, a hobby that reflected his eye for detail and appreciation for craftsmanship. That same dedication carried into his work as a machinist, a profession he took great pride in.
Surviving are his children, Terry Tomko, John (Cathy) Tomko, Cindy Rose Hand, and Jerald (Kelly) Tomko; grandchildren, Travis and Melissa; brother-in-law, Bill van Kroff; and his dog, Fawn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie; son, James, parents; John and Olga; grandparents, Paul and Mary Kercheuko; sister, Joyce van Kroff and his dog, Austin.
The family honors the memory of Jimmie and invites you to visit and share memories Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Mt. Clemens. Burial to follow visitation at St. Peters Cemetery, Mt. Clemens.
