Jo Nell Wells McBride, 91, departed this life on Wed, April 30, 2025 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. In an instant, she was safe in the arms of her sweet Lord Jesus, whom she loved and served her entire life with great devotion. She was born on July 7, 1933 to the late Herbert & Jessie Mae Moore Wells. Jo was a loving wife to Robert McBride, her husband of 50 years, who preceded her in death in 2005. Her brother, Billy Jack Wells, of Arkadelphia also preceded her in death in 2012. She is survived by her son, Herb McBride and daughter, Kathy McCutcheon (Joe) of Hot Springs; grandson Robert McBride (Leigh) and great grandson Roy McBride of Renton, Washington.
Jo was one of those rare individuals who brightened a room wherever she went with her beautiful smile and love for the Lord, she radiated Joy and enriched us all by her presence.
She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Hot Springs. Most of her adult life was spent teaching Sunday School, from married young people to the oldest group on their last stop before heaven at First Baptist Church, Texarkana; First Baptist, Camden; Calvary Baptist in Little Rock; and finally FBC Hot Springs.
Visitation will be Thur., May 8, 10:00 AM & her memorial service will be at 11:00 AM at First Baptist, Hot Springs, followed by burial at Southfork Cemetary in Gurdon, Arkansas.
Donations may be made to First Baptist, Hot Springs Missions or BGEA.
