Joan Miller, 92, passed peacefully at home on November 6th, 2025, at home in Holbrook surrounded by caregivers and her niece Debbie. She was born May 9th, 1933 in Weymouth, MA. She was a long-term resident of Weymouth and enjoyed telling stories of growing up with many friends, playing outside and riding her bike. She loved music, dancing and laughter. She was fond of good food, especially lobster. When she was younger, she participated in Bingo with her stepmother Irma, which she was again able to do until recently at the Holbrook Counsel on Aging. For the past few years, she would chair dance and sing along while enjoying Music with Ed weekly at her home. She became a regular at the Sunday morning services at St. Bridget's in Abington. Until her retirement in 2022, she went to Active Day for many years.
Joan is survived by her niece Debbie Burns and nephew Michael McKinney. She is predeceased by her Father Walter "Bicky" Miller and, mother Myrtle Anne (Walsh) Miller, and stepmother Irma Miller; her beloved siblings Margeret "Peggy" McKinney, Walter Miller and Marilyn Cole.
Friends are invited to visit from 9AM to 11AM at November 14th at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. Weymouth MA, 02190. There will be a service for Joan at 11AM with burial to follow at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
