Joann Marie Norman Bailey, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on October 3, 2025.
She was born on February 13, 1938, in Sterling, Colorado, to Edna and John Norman. She married Richard Max Bailey on August 23, 1960, with whom she shared love and life for 65 years.
After beginning their family in Denver, the Baileys moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where they lived for more than five decades. She spent her final years in Longview, Texas, to be nearer to family.
Joann dedicated her life to the care and nurture of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and found her greatest joy when her people were gathered together. Foremost of these times was Christmas, which was Joann's favorite season each year.
A Christian from a young age, Joann faced her final days with an unwavering faith, resting confidently in her relationship with Jesus Christ and assured that her "name is written in the Book."
She is survived by her husband, Richard Max Bailey; her sister and husband, Karol and Richard Parks; her children and their spouses, Leslie and Randy Yeakley, and Daniel and Cindy Bailey; her grandson Nicholas Yeakley; her grandson, Richard Cameron Yeakley, and his wife, Jenna Avery Yeakley; and her great grandchildren, Rosalie, Harper, and Russell Yeakley.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, at Parkview on Hollybrook Independent Living, 603 Hollybrook Drive.
